Full Lab / Fictional practice
Your scenario.
A visible trail.
Edit a fictional company’s people, effective dates, calendar and earning or deduction codes. Review time and dummy partner files, run alternative scenarios and build reports from immutable practice runs.
Open the Sandbox ↓Made-up people only.
No real employee names, identifiers, addresses, bank details or employer-confidential files. All employee IDs and invalid SSNs are synthetic. Training rates and code flags are explicit assumptions, not W-4 tables, a universal state engine, a vendor replica or a filing service. No pay, return or statement is delivered.
Checking the current profile and full-plan preview access. The introduction stays public.
Read-only audience preview. Changes, imports, simulation and downloads are unavailable.

Calculate, lock and review
Practice not loaded
Reopening keeps your entered sources and unchanged hours import, and clears all five reviews. Make corrections, then calculate and review again.

Timecard period not loaded
Reopening invalidates the old hours export/import and all payroll reviews. Recorded source rows stay available for correction.
Dummy file handoffs
Sign off the entire timecard period before exporting hours. Then download the exact current Sandbox CSV, inspect it locally, choose that unchanged file and explicitly import it. Real or changed files are not sent. Vendor rows are edited with the action form, not by uploading arbitrary source data.
Immutable runs, YTD & training reporting
Sandbox W-2 workpaper sources · not filing-ready
Build a report
Choose a date basis and explicit fields. Reports use committed runs; no draft is silently included. The mock GL uses a fictional chart of accounts and each employee’s reporting department/subdepartment; it is never posted to real books. A workpaper is not Form 941, an issued W-2 or a 1099 filing.
