Adopted customer terms / 2026-10-31.1
Academy, hiring licenses
and custom services.
Effective October 31, 2026. Version 2026-10-31.1.
These terms cover the paid Academy, employer hiring library and custom written services. The standalone download terms remain unchanged for the three existing download products.
1. Who provides the material
Hartigos Consulting Group, LLC, operating P.A.Y. — Payroll All Year, provides original educational material and scoped written services. Questions and support: rob@hartigos.com. Ordering opens only when the published offer, final USD price, applicable terms, capacity and payment method are confirmed.
2. Academy license for one named learner
An individual level license gives one named learner access through their own P.A.Y. account to the purchased level in the current edition. The all-five bundle covers Payroll Foundations; Payroll Operations & Controls; Multi-State Payroll Fundamentals; Payroll Analysis and Reconciliation; and Payroll Leadership. Level 3 includes its companion multi-state learning kit. These are one-time edition licenses with no recurring billing. They do not include later editions or perpetual hosting promises.
Keep account credentials private. Do not share, transfer, resell, publicly publish or sublicense course text, assessment banks, answer keys, protected downloads or access. Use course material for your own learning. Ordinary personal study notes and your own original practice work remain yours; do not distribute protected questions, solutions or employer/employee records.
Progression and prerequisites still apply. Available alternative challenge routes are included in the matching level license without an extra challenge charge. Payment does not confer a pass. Challenge passage does not replace individual 95% required-lesson and final mastery for the P.A.Y. badge. A P.A.Y. badge is not CPP/FPC, RCH, accreditation, a professional license or a promise of employment or advancement.
3. Employer hiring license for one business
A role license covers the named role’s candidate packet, assessor guide and rubric for repeated internal hiring use by one licensed business. The all-ten bundle covers the ten named roles in the published offer. You may adapt the packet internally to your actual role and give the candidate version to applicants completing the exercise for that business. Keep the assessor material, expected responses and answer guides internal.
Do not resell, sublicense, publish the original full packet or answer bank, or distribute it as a general training or recruitment product. A staffing agency or consultant may not reuse one business license across unrelated client businesses; ask about a separately agreed scope. Each business needs its own license unless the written order explicitly agrees otherwise.
These fictional examples are not validated selection tests, legal advice, candidate rankings or automated hiring decisions. The employer chooses job-related criteria, reviews accuracy, offers appropriate accessible formats and uses consistent instructions and scoring for the same role. A rubric supports human review; it does not replace it.
4. Four custom written services
Rob personally reviews and delivers each custom service. No additional AI service is included. Each accepted brief is a separate paid order. Before payment, agree in writing on the selected service, one role or target, input requirements, fixed price, available capacity, delivery date and the revision window. No service order is accepted merely by sending an inquiry. No instant output, live meeting, open-ended coaching or ongoing representation is included.
- Custom Payroll Job Description: one payroll role and agreed requirements; one written job-description draft.
- Custom Résumé Review & Update: one résumé and one agreed target role; written review and updated draft.
- Payroll Career Advice: one agreed career question; a written next-step development plan.
- Custom Hiring Exercise: one job description and role; a fictional candidate packet, assessor guide and rubric.
One consolidated revision request is included per order. Request it within 14 calendar days after the latest customer-ready draft or final delivery sent before your first revision request. Status messages and administrative notes do not restart the window; a revision delivery does not create another included round. New roles, new documents or a material change to the brief require a separate quote. The client may use the accepted written deliverable for their stated personal career or internal business purpose; P.A.Y. retains its underlying templates and methods. No employment, salary, hiring, compliance or business outcome is guaranteed.
5. Educational limits and sensitive information
Materials use selected fictional examples. Check the edition and source dates and verify applicable rules for your actual facts. They do not process payroll, file returns or provide individualized tax, legal, investment or benefits advice. Do not submit employee payroll files, bank numbers, credentials, government identifiers or confidential employer records. For a résumé service, provide only the contact and career facts necessary for the agreed review and remove identifiers that are not needed.
6. Payment, account access and delivery
The final price, currency, taxes if applicable and applicable terms appear before payment. Academy and hiring licenses are tied to the purchasing P.A.Y. account. A receipt or browser redirect alone does not grant access; the site must confirm the completed payment. Contact support if a paid license is missing. Retain the order reference and product name, and do not email card details. U.S. Bank Invoicing is selected for custom services. Account activation and the invoice/payment workflow still require verification before payment opens. Use only the account-bound quote, payment method and delivery channel expressly confirmed for that accepted order. An invoice is not a recurring subscription. No custom service is sold through the learning-download checkout.
If a payment is refunded, charged back or reversed, associated license access may be removed. This does not turn an uncompleted purchase into a credential or create ownership of the assessment banks. The three standalone downloads use their own adopted terms and are excluded from these bundles and service scopes.
7. Support, cancellations and refunds
For a license access problem, duplicate order or material mismatch with the published offer, contact support within 14 days of purchase with the product and order reference. We will investigate and arrange access correction, replacement or refund as appropriate. A digital license is not a trial followed by automatic renewal. Applicable consumer rights remain available.
For custom work, cancellation before work begins receives a full refund. If P.A.Y. cannot meet the agreed scope or delivery and no revised arrangement is accepted, the undelivered work is refunded. After agreed work has begun, any cancellation or partial refund reflects the documented work completed and applicable consumer rights. Report a material mismatch promptly; the included revision is the first opportunity to correct the agreed deliverable. No blanket no-refund promise is made.
8. Edition changes and availability
The purchase covers the described edition and published inclusions. Source corrections or maintenance may be supplied for that edition, but automatic future editions, newly authored labs, custom work and additional products are excluded. If material access must end permanently, provide reasonable advance notice and a practical access or refund remedy where appropriate. No specific lifetime of a browser, file format or hosted service is promised.
9. Privacy and fair use
Use the site’s privacy notice together with the chosen payment provider’s checkout privacy information. Provide only the information needed to identify the account, complete payment or fulfill an accepted service. License verification and progress require account records; optional marketing consent is separate. Do not attempt to bypass license checks or extract protected assessment banks.
10. Questions and scope changes
Ask before ordering if the scope does not fit. A broader team, reseller, agency or client-serving license requires a separate written agreement. Any custom change must be agreed before additional work or payment. These terms are adopted for launch. Ordering remains closed until the applicable merchant, account-bound payment, intake and delivery process is verified.
